It was a lovely Saturday night at Lakers Tavern in Thornlie where 33 club members attended for a gathering to celebrate the winners of the Clubman's award and the President's choice award.
The Clubman's award is calculated from points allocated through the year to members who contribute to the club in all sorts of ways. It can be by just attending a meeting, or organinsing a trip or just going on a trip. All points are calculated in July ready to be presented to the worthy recipients of these awards on this night. The winners are presented with their own trophy as well as their names being placed onto the club trophy and club board.
Congratulations go to this year’s winners Glen and Amy Usher for the Clubman's award. Both Glen and Amy had done a fantastic job throughout the year. Glen and Amy organised a lot of trips throughout the year which were well attended by our members. Glen was also our Treasurer and Amy was our Magazine editor.
Well done guys, a well-deserved win.
We also had the presentation for the President's award and congratulations went to this year’s winners Bob and Jan Smith. Unfortunately, Bob and Jan were not present on the night to receive their award as they were having a lovely time travelling up North. Liz had lovely words to say of both Bob and Jan and that the reason they were chosen for the President's award was because they were always very supportive to Liz as the President, as well as the committee and it was also noted that Jan has always made herself available for the yearly audit. Well done guys also a well-deserved win.
