Mundaring Power-Lines Day Trip.

Trip Report

With the threat of a wet day hanging over us we met at in Kelmscott with everyone arriving on time.

After a drivers meeting the 7 vehicles headed off towards the power lines via the Bickley Valley. There was a little bit fog around.
After arriving at the water tanks we aired down before heading east along the track. It was about here I realised I had messed up and immediately realised that the Oh Dammit' award would soon be heading my way.

As we headed down the first hill my fuel light came on. I must have been that excited about the trip that i forgot to get fuel on the way to the meeting place. Oh well, when we got to Cole Road I fessed up and headed out to Sawyers Valley to fuel up.

Back on track we continued our trip east. As always the power lines were throwing some great challenges at use. Thanks to everyone for helping those around you when assistance was required. One again Vicki seemed to be having way too much fun although she was still complaining about 'stinky teenagers'. She seemed to have this enormous smile on her face every time a photo was taken.

Of course, when we stopped for lunch it decided it wanted to rain on us so after a quick lunch we continued on our way. Vicky was again the source of entertainment when she became stuck and had to test out her new recovery point (twice). Thanks Jay for the recoveries.

When we got to the end of the track most of the convoy headed south along Yarra Road towards Brookton Highway. After pumping up tires just before the highway we enjoyed the drive back along the highway to Kelmscott and the end of the trip.

Thanks to everyone who came along and made this another fantastic trip
