CHRISTMAS IN JULY
TRIP REPORT
29th - 30th July 2017
What a great turn out Christmas in July 2017 was, 40 adults and 11 children. It was a chilly damp weekend but the kids had a ball roaming around the caravan park, enjoyed climbing trees and playing in the muddy puddle (and thank you Michael for encouraging them even more). At 5pm was feeding the animals, then all the kids got a ride on the quad bike courtesy of the park managers.
During the day Rob and his Dad set up his very large Christmas tree with plenty of lights, the verandah was decorated with more lights and tinsel and the tables were setup and decorated. Everyone came to dinner in a festive mood wearing their Christmas hats. Aleeya and Felicity judged the best Christmas hat and decided on Annice’s. It was a fantastic night of sharing the best smorgasbord of home cooked food and everyone ate until they were full.
Even Santa showed up bringing small gifts for the children, the little ones were surprised Santa comes in winter.
Unfortunately, it was too wet to enjoy sitting by the campfire after dinner but a few stayed behind under the verandah and had a couple more drinks before heading off to bed.
Sunday morning the park managers hosted their famous scones with cream and jam, then everyone slowly packed up and headed home.

NOTE for calendar: Next year’s Christmas in July we have booked Willow Brook Farm with 30 sites, and a limit of 60 people (adults& kids) attending the dinner, you must be on our list to have a seat. More details to follow next year.
