We again went with Rushton Park, along with “Fun Day” theme, with different games, but same purchase of pizzas, which seem to be popular, then followed by watermelon and a visit by that Man in Red and he had “elves” handing out lollies.

After he had pleased all the children and adults with lollies and gifts there were ice creams and of course the usual cool drinks and juices.

Official part of the day was the presentation of Junior Clubman Award which was won by our Thomas Phillips – a well earnt award and it was great to see how excited Thomas was at receiving the award. Thomas attends most trips and some meetings with Andrew where he takes part in activities and helps where he can. Well done Thomas – keep up the good work.

This year’s events seemed more intense than previous years or maybe we are getting older and dare I say slower!!!

Thanks to Annice, George, Dennis, Diane and Ray for their contributions. Unfortunately, Diane has decided she won’t be continuing (boo hoo) so we are looking for someone or a couple to come on to the Social Committee. As they say “many hands make light work” and we do have fun along with the work involved and is a great way to get to know other club members.
